Open terminal and run this command to create a laravel project.

composer create-project laravel/laravel myblog

It will create a project folder with name myblog inside your local system.

To start the development server of laravel –

php artisan serve


Assuming laravel already installed inside your system.

Update Record without Timestamps

Let’s consider a Controller here to understand the process of update.

use Illuminate\Http\Request;
use App\Models\Post;

        $post = Post::first();
        /* Prevents timestamps auto-update */

We can update any amount of data by just adding this line of code to prevent to update timestamps column of database table.
